The BeOS operating system was solid, dependable, extremely capable operating system that could run Pentium PC's and Macintosh's. I joined Be be as their first full-time interface designer during the release of their first OS (BeOS Release 3) that ran on PC's. Be already had a family of icons and a distinct yellow tab on the windows that had become well known to developers. Be was now moving to a larger platform and looking to increase it's user base exponentially.
While at Be, I set up a small team and lay the groundwork for the coming releases of the BeOS. I lead the development of a completely new windowing system as well as all the interface controls. I assisted in the development of both internal and third-party application development; developing concepts, showing prototypes, and creating final artwork.
