I have been designing software and interactive products since I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1997. With a degree in Industrial Design and a undeniable interest in computers and technology I have focused my career on improving the experiences defined by the world of digital products.
After working on Windows and Macintosh applications, I had the privilege to be the sole designer at Be Inc. where I was able to work on forming the most basic of computer experiences, the operating system. After adding another designer to the team and developing existing OS and platform applications we designed and demonstrated concepts for internet computers and light-weight clients. Following that, I joined GVO of Palo Alto as an Interaction Design consultant, designing advanced applications, wireless devices, web services, and software system architecture. GVO's research methods and integration of anthropology with design was eye-opening -- blending my own experience and knowledge of interaction with research methods for discovery and evaluation.
In 2002 I joined Apple Computer, Inc. in Cupertino, CA, in a small design team crafting the various "iApps." The team has grown quite a bit and I'm now the managing designer for the consumer application design group whose primary product is the "iLife" suite.
